The most common surprise on entertainment-area projects isn't the build — it's how exposed the space feels once it's done. A new patio puts your dining table at eye height with the neighbour's first-floor window; a new pavilion turns the kids' side-yard into a viewing gallery. The fix is rarely a higher fence. Instead, we run vertical privacy screens along the boundary that need them most, usually in slatted timber or aluminium battens so the breeze still moves through. You keep the airflow and the morning light; the neighbour's sightline gets broken at exactly the height that matters.

For tighter blocks where the entertainment area runs close to one boundary, the screening is sometimes built into the structure itself — fixed louvres along one side of the pergola, or a half-height privacy wall behind the seating. We size and angle it during the design stage so it does the job without making the space feel closed in.
